Little Crow Gunworks builds a lot of "Dual Purpose" rifles these days. Folks come to us, looking for a rifle that they can hunt with, but is also suitable to shoot accurately at long range with their buddies.

Through that lens, we selected components that we feel are the BEST fit for those needs. A large part of success at long range is using a rifle that makes it easy to be consistent. What features promote consistency when shooting prone or off a bench? Adjustable combs, a "flat bottom" on the buttstock, a wide fore-end and having minimal height difference between the bore centerline and the contact point on your body. All of these features help the rifle "track" straight, so the rifle comes straight back without the muzzle jumping up vertically, which upsets the rifle and causes the shooter to lose their sight picture. It's hard to know if you hit the target when every time you squeeze the trigger, all you see is clouds.

So, we need the rifle to track well but be light enough to carry around. That is why the components are what they are.

The cartridges, twist rates and bullet selections were selected to achieve a certain level of performance.

Max Effective Ethical range on Elk sized game: 600yds (Depending on elevation)

These distances were calculated based on very specific requirements:

1. An ARRIVAL VELOCITY of at least 2100 fps for adequate bullet performance.
2. An ARRIVAL ENERGY of at least 1,800 ft/lbs, which is widely considered the the adequate minimum for deer sized game.

This Category of Custom Rifle is limited to Long Action Cartridges.

Rifles will be completed within 60 days of ALL parts arriving at our shop.

Finished Rifles will be shipped in an SKB iSeries 5014-6 Double Rifle Case with CNC cut closed cell foam, cut to fit your rifle.

1. Barrels - Steel: X Caliber 26" 7.5" Twist - Bull Sporter (.700" Muzzle) With 6 Groove Spiral Fluting. Or 26" Proof Sendero 8" Twist.
2. Bedding - All rifles will be glass bedded
3. Bottom Metal - All rifles will come with Hawkins Precision M5 Hunter Bottom Metal
4. Magazines - All rifles will come with 2 Hawkins Hunter Magazines
5. Everything else listed - All options we listed were chosen for a very specific reason. We CAN order you a different stock, barrel, trigger, whatever. But in our opinion, you will be sacrificing SOMETHING. Quality, precision, features, reasonable lead times.

Examples: We can order you a Bartlein, Brux, or Kreiger different than our listed option, but you better be prepared to wait up to 14 months for that barrel. THEN your 60 day build time starts after that.

Or we can order you a less expensive, stock, trigger, whatever, but you're sacrificing something; quality, features, weight, etc.

We can order you a different contour barrel, but we don't recommend it. We want first round impacts, while maintaining a reasonable rifle weight. Heavy barrels are great for precision during long shot strings, but they're heavy. You need to be able to carry this thing around.
