Precision Muzzle Brake - 5/8x24 MBN Jam Nut - Silver

The LCG Jam Nut is made to compliment our precision muzzle brakes, but can be used on most muzzle devices. Over the years I have really started to despise crush washers. They require way too much torque to install so you need to have your upper in a vise when working with them and they are a one-time use item so good luck having one when you need it.

With the jam nut indexing a muzzle device is a breeze. Simply thread the jam nut and muzzle brake on until they butt up against the thread shoulder, back off the brake until it indexes where you want it, and snug the jam nut up against the brake. That’s right, just snug the jam nut up with a Tapco wrench and it is virtually locked in place until you want to remove the device.

Another handy use for the jam nut is when using a suppressor on a sporter weight barrel. A lot of times there simply is not enough shoulder on the barrel to support the suppressor. The jam nut solves that problem nicely.

Our brakes are:

• only 1 5/8” long which means if your muzzle threads are the standard 5/8” long it only add 1” to the length of your rifle.

• We also limited the amount of port discharge our brakes produce to limit the amount of noise to the shooter and bystanders.
